The White River is a mirror of the city. It is the source of life for Indianapolis providing most of the water to support daily activities. Conceived by visual artist Mary Miss, commissioned by the Indianapolis Museum of Art, with concurrent activities facilitated by EcoArts Connections and more than 20 leading arts science, environment, and municipal organizations and agencies, FLOW: Can You See the River? is a city-wide public art project that reveals how the ordinary activities of citizens affect the health and future of the White River water system.
