From 24 October through to 30 November the National Museum of XXI Century Arts in Roma is emptying and reinventing itself as a container for sound, image and movement with site specific installations and a rich programme of events.

By studying the relationship between the museum’s architecture and the city of Rome,Bill Fontana creates Sonic Mappings (2014), an immersive sound sculpture. The work is a sort of mapping of the sounds made by the Virgin Aqueduct, a musical collection of the acoustic, harmonious, rhythmical qualities of the water moving through different places and times.
