From 24 October through to 30 November the National Museum of XXI Century Arts in Roma is emptying and reinventing itself as a container for sound, image and movement with site specific installations and a rich programme of events.

Each element that makes up External Binaural Envelope (2014) by Haroon Mizra is closely connected to the Carlo Scarpa spaces and architecture.
The artist created a device that introduces the sounds and the noises from outside the museum to inside the museum. The walls of Carlo Scarpa Room are not a barrier, rather, they become a sort of membrane that makes the passage from “outside” to “inside” possible, with no temporal distances, in real time.
