Meet the Greek performance artist Yorgos Sapountzis as he prepares and executes a performance at the Louisiana Museum.
Yorgos Sapountzis was born 1976. In this video Sapountzis talks about art coming before philosophy, order and rationality. How an artist can claim that an object is actually alive. How the night takes away color and information, making it possible for him to go as a parasite and feed of the energy of objects. It is a constant, open ended experiment, of making new connections, he explains. It is all about being open towards whats coming towards you.
Recorded at the TWO DAYS ART festival at Louisiana Museum of Modern Art, May 2012.
Filmed by Sonja Strange, Troels Kahl and Martin Kogi. Edited by Sonja Strange and Martin Kogi.
