In this lecture, Jenni Sorkin, Assistant Professor of the History of Art and Architecture at the University of California- Santa Barbara, proposes that contemporary craft should once more become the purview of the decorative arts and return to its legacy of specificity. This lecture was given as part of The Decorative Impulse and the New Aesthetic Democracy panel at the 2014 College Art Association (CAA) conference.
