Marie Retpen hot works large pieces that will eventually become part of a large installation. She finds inspiration for her surreal works in the novels Alice in Wonderland and Alice through the Looking Glass, and in the movie The Terminator.

Retpen was a 2010 Artist-in-Residence at The Studio, the glassmaking school of The Corning Museum of Glass.
