This video is wonderful as a resource for art teachers to use to enhance students' understanding of African American Art and the Harlem Renaissance. I use this to introduce my art lesson - Jacob Lawrence's "Forward" about Harriet Tubman from the NC Museum of Art: http://www.ncmoa.org/artnc/pictures/artifact/full/35.jpg. This a inspiring piece of filmaking!! I met Dr Lawerence years ago in ART school and his insights into art, social struggle and HOW to find one's artistic voice are things I'd NEVER forget.
