Born in Ferrara, Michele De Lucchi studied architecture in Italy and his approach to the creation of new styles in design played an important role in the movements Cavart, Alchymia, and Memphis. Lucchi was a keynote speaker at the European Design Symposium hosted by the Indianapolis Museum of Art.
