Sip my Ocean was installed in Amsterdam in 1996. This museum was built in 1895 at the Museumplein in Amsterdam, near the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum. It has been under construction since 2004 and will re-open in 2010. Ann Goldstein, curator at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angelos, has been appointed as the new director.

In 2001 Museum Boymans van Beuningen presented a big exhibition of work by the famous Dutch painter Hieronymus Bosch (1450-1516). The continued fascination for Bosch's work was illustrated by modern and contemporary works included in the exhibition, by artists such as Bill Viola, Salvador Dalí, Jörg Immendorff, Robert Gober, William Kentridge, James Ensor and Pipilotti Rist.
