This set of videos provides artists’ examinations of pigs, plants, spider silk, soil, and cut flowers in art.  Through interviews with contemporary artists and curators explore the work of Paula Hayes, who features nurturance in her work; William Lamson, whose artwork responds to the sun and soil in the desert; and Christien Meinderstma, who researches the origins of existing products.   The detailed flower paintings of 18th century artist Rachel Ruysch are also highlighted in this group of videos.
