James Zemaitis, Private Curator of Design Arts, talks about how to start collecting design objects at the opening of the Indianapolis Museum of Art's new contemporary design galleries.

The IMA's contemporary design collection is international in scope and numbers more than 1,200 pieces. Included in the new galleries is the work of more than 100 designers from 20 countries in Europe, North America, South America, and Asia.
