Hear artist Michelle Grabner speak about her artistic practice and curatorial projects with the IMA’s curator of contemporary art, Tricia Y. Paik. The informal outdoor conversation will take place near The Temporary Suburban installed in The Virginia B. Fairbanks Art & Nature Park: 100 Acres. Grabner is perhaps best known for her intricate, labor-intensive abstract paintings. Working also in photography, drawing, video, sculpture, and installation, Grabner has consciously made her art reflect her life, as she draws from her everyday experiences as artist, professor, curator, critic, as well as mother and wife.
