Founded in 1981 in Mexico City, Museo Tamayo organizes groundbreaking exhibitions of international contemporary art and showcases its collection, which includes artworks from the second half of the twentieth century to the present. The collection was initially formed by the museum’s founder, visual artist Rufino Tamayo, with his wife, Olga, with the intention of bringing art and ideas by international artists to their native Mexico. www.museotamayo.org
