On October 11 in the Toledo Museum Peristyle Gary Tinterow, the new director of the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston and 28-year veteran of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, discussed Édouard Manet's fondness for Spanish art and for the artist Diego Velázquez in particular.
