Season Five of the Peabody Award-winning television series "Art:21—Art in the Twenty-First Century" premieres on PBS in the United States (Fall 2009).
This trailer spotlights the artists Mary Heilmann, William Kentridge, and Yinka Shonibare MBE, offering brief glimpses of an additional eleven, dynamic and engaging contemporary artists.
Can you guess who they are? We're not telling (just yet).
it's cutting edge! meaning stuff that's been processed and digested and is now safely passed out.
It's a really nice video. Are some of the artists Paul Mccarthy, Jeff Koons?
Jeff Koons and Cindy Sherman for sure..
bravo!
I'm familiar with quite a few of the artists but I am SO happy to learn and see their artistic processes. It is particularly rare to be able to speak to an artist, honestly, about his or her work, and I feel that the show does that very well. I can't wait to see it!
it was colonel mustard in the dining room with the candlestick. and all sorts of old artists. isn't this show about new shit? cindy sherman? vito acconci? thumb up his ass koons? paul mccarthy? i mean that ketchup and mustard mother fucker. anish kapoor?
should we just start killing old people? is that the message? bloodshed?
I do believe one of the artists is Jeff Koons.
