Since September 23, 2012, the Stedelijk Museum is open to the public again with its brand new wing designed by Benthem Crouwel and after the first complete renovation of the Stedelijk's historic building, designed by AW Weissman, dating back to 1895.
In this video for ARTtube, architect Mels Crouwel tells about the new wing: why he moved the entrance, about the transition between the new and old building, its nickname 'The Bathub', the black box next to the museum and the connection between Crouwel and the museum.
