Reflecting on the exhibition Emperors’ Treasures: Chinese Art from the National Palace Museum, Taipei, Nick Dong created an immersive, interactive installation of a “circular sky” and a “square earth," invoking ancient Chinese iconography of heaven and earth. Through this cosmological pattern, Dong recognizes the rich and wondrous culture in the exhibition and its place in the modern world.
