The ASD tug 3213 is nominated for the prestigious Rotterdam Design Award 2009. Coen Boudesteijn, head of Damen Shipyards’ design department, talks about the tug with pride. He guarded the design process for more than three years. With 95 tonnes bollard pull it is the strongest tug in the world, especially regarding its length: just 30 metres. Moreover, everything is discussed and rethought; from its energy saving fuel technology until the dashboard’s rounded corners .
