Artist Susan Hefuna offers a poetic interpretation of cities and discusses her Crossroads series of videos and its roots in the urban environment. Hefuna describes observations of the movement of people at intersections in various international cities, including Cairo and Frankfurt. She also talks about her work with New York’s Drawing Center on a sequence of dance performances that respond to her drawing practice, and with students from the Laban Dance Centre, who respond to and influence people’s movements in London Crossroads.
