Influenced by her childhood in Brazil’s capital, Brasília, which was built as a modernist utopia, Made in L.A. artist Clarissa Tossin centers her practice on investigating the promises, legacies, and failures of modernity, globalism, and utopian idealism. Tossin’s project in Made in L.A. is the culmination of a multiyear inquiry connecting Brasília and Los Angeles.
