Shot on location in 2005 in Havana, Cuba, this video features Elias Aseff Alfonso discussing the work of artist Salvador Gonzales Escalona, the inspiration for much of Salvador's work, the history and ever changing story of Callejon de Hamel - Hamel's Alley which includes a tour and discussion of the symbolism and meaning of all the murals. Elias is assistant to Salvador Gonzales Escalona and is very knowledgeable on contemporary art in Cuba as well as the history of the island.
