Melvyn Deacon Jones shares an intimate Blues tale about John Lee Hooker.

 

Melvyn "Deacon" Jones is an organ player and founding member of Baby Huey & The Babysitters.  Jones embarked on a career that included work with musical greats such as Curtis Mayfield and John Lee Hooker.

 

In this revealing Blues for Smoke interview, Jones shares a seldom heard story of heartbreak that inspired him to write the song "We'll Meet Again" on John Lee Hooker's Grammy winning album, Chill Out.
