OPENING SEQUENCE is a simulation of the beginning of a film. Narrated by info, some content is found and some content looks like found content. The main character is an architect. She is married, she has morals. She is into dramatic simulation as a way to work out obstacles in her reality or shared realities.

Leilah Weinraub, born 1979 in Los Angeles, is an emerging director currently working in New York City. She is an MFA Candidate at Bard College in the film and video department. Awards include Frameline Grant recipient 2009, Wexner Center for the Arts, Art and Tech residency 2008 & 2009, IFP Project Involve Fellow 2007. Her first feature-length documentary, SHAKEDOWN will premiere early in 2013.

SHAKEDOWN is the story of Los Angeles' black lesbian strip club scene and its genesis. Owned and operated by women, underground and illegal in nature, the club Shakedown is the bolder, faster, younger iteration of this dance culture. The film is a window into this world.
