Matthew Higgs, Director and Chief Curator of NYC's alternative art space White Columns, is interested in the interdisciplinary practices of artists, artists who are best described as artists and writers, curators, directors, etc.. Indeed, his own work repurposes found printed matter in a tender conflation of an art and text practice. For MOCAtv, Higgs curates two artists and, William Wegman, who repurposes his video art staring dog for New Order's "Blue Monday, and Roger Ballen, who applies the staging techniques and disturbed aesthetic of his photography to Die Antwoord's "I FINK U FREEKY."
