Ever wonder what could be done with 80,000 stickers, wood, packing tape, bubble wrap, and packing peanuts in just five days?
El Ultimo Grito, a London-based design studio founded by Rosario Hurtado and Roberto Feo, used these common materials to create Garden Object, a site-specific installation at Rice University Art Gallery. With the help of their daughter, Elba and Rice students, participants used their bodies – sitting, standing, reaching – as tools to shape Garden Object and transform Rice Gallery into a space to use and explore.
