Watch as Stephanie Sersich demonstrates for her class, Beadmaking: Jewelry Components, Pendants, Buttons and Beyond, which will focus on making many different kinds of jewelry components—pendants, buttons, focal, and accent beads—using traditional and nontraditional flameworking techniques.

Stephanie Sersich has been making her own glass beads, which are the focal point of her jewelry designs, for more than 15 years. For inspiration, she draws on varied sources, including textiles, ancient art, and the natural world. Her unique approach to beadmaking and contemporary jewelry design has led her to teach at craft schools and glass studios around the world, and to lecture at many conferences and societies. She has sold her work in many well-respected venues, including the annual Craft Show at the Philadelphia Museum of Art and SOFA, both Chicago and New York. Sersich's jewelry and beads have been highlighted in many publications, including The History of Beads, Beads of Glass, Formed of Fire, Contemporary Lampworking, Beading for the Soul, and her own book, Designing Jewelry with Glass Beads, by Interweave Press.
