Noting the frequent oversight of emerging contemporary Sri Lankan artists by the organizers of purportedly international exhibitions, curator Sharmini Pereira introduces recent work by a number of local practitioners united by their interest in exploring ideas of national identity and the meanings of “country,” including Anoma Rajakaruna, Chandraguptha Thenuwara, T.
