As a goodbye after many years as an art critic at the Flemish public broadcasting company, Claude Blondeel presents his 'top 100' of artworks in Belgian collections in the exhibition 'Baza(a)r Belg(ï)e'.
Many museums and art institutions cooperated with pleasure, because Blondeel is well-loved in the country. From the M HKA collection, works by (among others) Fred Bervoets, Jan Fabre and Francis Alÿs were loaned to the exhibition.
According to Chantal Pattyn, head of the Flemish classical radio channel Klara, Blondeel is the perfect man to curate an interesting selection that represents the eclectic 'bazaar' of the country Belgium. The exhibition is hosted by The Centrale, a center for contemporary art in the heart of Brussels.
